Kustleden Hostel

Guesthouse & Hostel | The main building of the Coastal Trail, located on a historic site where a blacksmith existed from the late 17th century to the late 19th century, today offers comfortable accommodation in Strömsbruk, on the coast of Hälsingland.
The hostel is located only minutes from the E4 and about 20 km from Hudiksvall.

Hostel
There are only four rooms in the main building of Kustleden, one of which is a single room. This means that there cannot be more than seven people sharing the self-catering kitchen and living room. There is no TV, but there is free internet (WiFi) and exciting books on the bookshelf. Our guests usually take a walk, play a bit of boules or sit by the rapids with something refreshing and read a book.

Apartments
All apartments are equipped in the same way with the same or similar furniture models. There are differences in the color scheme of the wallpaper and floors.
Most apartments have two single beds, bed dimensions 90x200cm each, placed together in the bedroom. One apartment has a double bed 180x200 cm in the bedroom.
All apartments have bunk beds, bed dimensions 90x200 cm, in the living room.

We have a café that is open in summer afternoons, canoes, kayaks and other small boats for rent, and in the basement of the main building there is a unique camera museum with thousands of items from the era of analog photography.

With hiking trails, bike trails and canoe trails in a beautiful coastal landscape right on the doorstep, Kustleden is a destination that inspires an active outdoor life. The hostel is a convenient alternative for both single guests and families with children.
Exciting excursion destinations in, among others, Hudiksvall, Mellanfjärden, Järvsö, Gränsfors and more are easy to reach if you have a car.
If you want to leave the car, all our guests of different ages can borrow bicycles for free.

Camera Museum in Strömsbruk
Around a thousand industrial cameras and other analog equipment from the 18th-19th centuries are represented.
Ströms Bruk's connection to the history of photography is strong. For almost four decades, the small community supplied a large part of the paper base used for photographic paper around the world.
The former mill office is today a tribute to photography.
In connection with the museum, photographic art and photography history are presented.
The Camera Museum is a pleasant visit for everyone.
Photo enthusiasts will always find something exciting and for those who don't know much there is easy-to-digest information.
